Pacific Western Developments Awarded Again!

awardWe are proud to announce our recent Awards Finalist in the category of Best Single Family Home Under 2,000 Square Feet in the CHBA Georgie Awards!

This category is a hotly contested one due to the large number of entries and stiff competition from large development companies. Pacific Western Developments (2006) Limited is a finalist along with other esteemed members of the GVHBA, the Gold Georgie will be awarded at the final presentation in January 2007.

“Building homes that are less than 2,000 square feet takes a lot of planning, and attention to detail. By working closely with our design team, staff, and sub trades, we are able to create homes which maximize the use of floor area, while providing comfortable, quality homes for our clients. Larger floor plates are easier to work with, as you aren’t restricted as much as in smaller homes. That being said, by budgeting and planning, we can build homes of equal or greater quality to the larger homes, while saving our clients money.”

“I would like to thank all of our clients, friends, and fellow sub trades that work so hard on each and every one of our projects. In the end, the Georgie award is a team effort, and can not be achieved without the cooperation of many people,”
says Managing Director Rocky Sethi.

The Georgie Awards are awarded to the top builders in all of B.C. Pacific Western Developments (2006) Limited is proud to be a part of this group, and we are more than happy to share our success with you. If you should wish to meet with our team to review building plans, or design a new home for you, we can arrange for a free initial consultation to show you how we can save you time and money while building your dream home, even if it is only 2,000 square feet! Richmond Builder Wins Big!

We are proud to say that on February 1, 2003 our company was recognized by the Canadian Home Builders’ Association for excellence in the construction industry. At the recent Georgie Awards Night, Pacific Western Developments was awarded two Gold Georgie Awards for the recently completed Richmond Flex House. This project was a joint effort with the City of Richmond, the CMHC, and BC Hydro.

“It was an amazing feeling to win two Silver Georgie Awards, but to win two Gold Awards is incredible,” says Rocky Sethi, president of Pacific Western. The home showcased wheelchair accessibility, adaptability, flexibility in design, Power Smart design, and affordability through the inclusion of a legal secondary suite, a first in the City of Richmond.

Since then, Pacific Western has not sat back. Recent projects include Jade Gardens and Amethyst Court residential town home developments in the heart of Richmond. In addition, Pacific Western is proud of Waterside Village, a mixed-use townhouse project in the heritage Steveston area of Richmond comprised of 25 residential units plus nine commercial store front units which has flourished as a local commercial area as well as mature housing development. Recent innovative projects include our Williams Road Carriage Homes in the heart of the prestigious Broadmoor area of Richmond. This collection of affordable luxury homes are comprised of spacious four bedroom homes with a large den or guest bedroom at the front, along with a rental unit above the garage at the rear of the home.

“Constant innovation is what sets us apart from the competition,” says Rocky, “being able to provide our clients with leading edge designs whether it be custom-built or spec. homes is our biggest strength.”
